Ship Simulator 2008 is working on Trinus Gyre (FreeTrack protocol).
I guess the problem was that I had to start the game before launching/connecting Trinus Gyre.
Or maybe my installation of FaceTrackNoIR fixed something.
Well, it may be as well just a weird error the game started throwing during launching after I installed SP3 and .Net Framework 4 (Windows XP). Maybe Trinus server couldn’t detect the right protocol during window switch because of that error alert being focused or something.
