    Hey volks,

    as the Oculus being 700 bucks and the HTC Vive will be over 1000 bucks, im bit off guard. So my question is can i buy a cheap 1440p Phone, like the Meizu MX4 Pro and run TrinusVR in 1440p at 60fps?

    I use 5Ghz 433Mbps WLAN, and 1000Mbit LAN, Steam in Home Streaming works at 1440p with 40-60fps.
    My rig is good, i have a 4k Screen and can render, lets say Alien Isolation at 4k60fps.

    MX4 Pro + Goggles = 200$
    So this combo will be ALOT cheaper than the other options i have, but worth it?

    Since the resolution of the Meizu MX4 Pro display is 2560 x 1536 pixels, when playing in side by side mode (Trinus or any other software for that matter) as by the nature of the SBS view the image is split vertically, so the maximum resolution you can have with that phone is 1280 x 1536 pixels PER EYE. This is not the same as looking at a 2K monitor/TV, it’s more like (or exactly the same) as looking at a monitor with a 1280 x 1536 resolution, which is for me still pretty darn good (I’m even using 1080p phone and still liking it) considering how huge and immersive the picture is for starters, and then with the added 3D effect it is absolutely a revolutionary way of playing games and viewing video content in general.
