ParticipantI know that people on this forum have asked for this before but I’d like to ask again because it really wouldn’t be too difficult to setup.
Using Package disabler pro (to disable the Gear VR Service) and the following qr code/lens paramaters one can easily turn their Gear VR into a Google Cardboard without rooting their phone. https://www.reddit.com/r/GearVR/comments/3pjvtc/gear_vr_s6_innovator_edition_cardboard_qr_code/
So… I’ve really been trying to configure the lens settings in Trinus to work with it but I just get a lot of headaches and confusion. I’ve tried it for hours with multiple friends on numerous occasions and we just can’t make it work.
It is totally possible and deeply desired by many Gear VR users in the Reddit community to use Trinus with Gear VR – people are doing it already by modifying the generic cardboard 5″5″ profile but I can’t get it right.
Having this option would sell a lot more copies of Trinus and probably get more people to pick up a Gear VR too.
So, How about it anybody? Christmas miracle lens settings?
I saw that the dev addressed this before saying that he/she did not have a gear and wasn’t planning to build software for the Gear’s internal sensors. The extra sensors don’t matter for what people are aiming to do – the quality of the lenses on the gear are phenomenal and it works better as a google cardboard when configured correctly than any of the 5 cardboard headsets I’ve tried.
There is a real demand for this! I would straight up mail my Gear VR to the Trinus dev and pay for shipping both ways if that’s what it might take haha

ParticipantThanks for the lens settings @Ammsa.
I’m planning to buy a GearVR and wanted to ask you if you could give me some feedback about your GearVR usage.
Games, framerates, stuttler, lag, resolution, …And which GearVR are you using with your lens settings?
Thanks in advance.

ParticipantI’ll be testing out this configuration tonight with my Note 5 and Gear VR. I’ll let you know what my settings end up being.
FYI – this will be tested in both Moonlight and “Fast”.
Cheers,
