Hi, I just purchased Trinus from the Play store.

Trinus requires me to enable USB tethering and it works fine like expected. The only problem is that once I enabled USB tethering, my local home Wifi network stops working entirely. I remain connected to the local wifi but even ping google.com does not work.

Can you help me understand better why this happens? I want to use my fast home internet to watch movies and play games because my phone has limited data. How do I make this work?
It feels to me like this should be very common thing I am trying to do. My phone in this case is just an output device (like a monitor) right?

Looking forward to your responses, thanks.

After hours of searching I finally found the answer myself. It has to do with Windows prioritizing one network over the other for internet.

User loxai here posted the following:

you can try the following to prioritise which network Windows will use for internet connection. The idea would be to set the phone usb tethered network to lower priority, so that the alternative (the pc network you usually use) is selected:

(haven’t tried myself, let me know if it works)
