I will look into the first issue and have it sorted as soon as possible. Thanks for reporting. Is that using the usb option or one of the other ones?
In any case, keep in mind that, for USB connection, the phone app needs to be started first, then the PC app (as opposed to the Wifi options where you start with the PC).
Regarding the second screenshot:
That second IP on the bottom (192.168.31.1) should be the correct one (it’s the phone’s IP, as opposed to the one on the dropdown being the PC IP, 192.168.31.177). I realise this is confusing, I will change it.
Oh and there’s no backward compatibility so using the old version won’t work.

I just released a minor update for the server, it looks like there was a bug when no IP was selected, which shouldn’t happen.
Give it a try and let me know.September 8, 2014 at 11:12 pm #295jarrod357Participant
The app on my phone keeps kicking me out when I press start. I have a lg g3. Iset up USB tethering. My computer connects to it. I am able to use the phones internet. When I start the server on the PC after starting it on my phone the app closes and it says the device refused on the IP address.September 9, 2014 at 8:59 am #298
and both sides are the latest version? Does wifi connection work for you?
Note that internet on the phone should be disabled to avoid PC consuming data from it. There’s a check for that when starting the client, so maybe something wrong is going on there. Please try disabling internet on the phone (e.g. set it to airplane mode) and try again.
Sorry about this, I will look into it asap.September 9, 2014 at 10:35 am #299jarrod357Participant
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I have the latest version for both. I turned on the phone data just to test that the phone and the pc were connected.
When I try it, I have the phone data off and tethering activated. My Pc recognizes the phone as local area connnection 10 with 429mbps. I then open up the trinus gyre app on my phone and the server on the computer. On the server I select USB tether and then I hit start on the app on my phone. then I hit the start button on the server and it sits for about 2 seconds and I get a message and the app on the phone closes. the message says “Server stoped: Unable to establish connection. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 220.127.116.11:7777. I have tried it on two pcs with the same result. I am able to connect via the router but it is pretty slow and it crashes saying something about sensor data failed to send after about 20 seconds. On the previous version I was able to stay connected via this method without crashing.September 9, 2014 at 4:59 pm #301
After the new patch, my problem fixed 🙂
thank you very much
